What StatCaddy is, how to sign in, and how to put it on your phone's home screen.

StatCaddy turns the scorecard in your back pocket into a clear picture of how you actually play. You log a round in about five minutes; it works out where you’re gaining shots and where you’re leaking them, and tells you what that means in plain English.

If your coach invited you, they can see your rounds too — which is what lets them help you between lessons.

Signing in

There are no passwords. You enter your email address, StatCaddy emails you a six-digit code, and you type it in. That’s it.

1. Go to statcaddy.app.
2. Enter the email address your coach invited, or the one you signed up with.
3. Check your inbox for the code and enter it.

The code is good for a few minutes. If it doesn’t arrive, check your spam folder before requesting another — and make sure you used the same address your coach has for you.

If your coach sent you an invite link

Open their link and enter your email on the page it lands on. The invite does two things at once: it lets you in, and it connects you to your coach so they can see your rounds from day one. Your seat is covered by their plan — there’s nothing to pay.

Put it on your home screen

StatCaddy isn’t in the App Store or Google Play. It’s a web app, which means you install it straight from the browser. Once you do, it opens full-screen with its own icon and behaves like any other app.

iPhone and iPad

1. Open statcaddy.app in Safari (this doesn’t work in Chrome on iOS).
2. Tap the Share button — the square with an arrow coming out of it.
3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
4. Tap Add.

Android

1. Open statcaddy.app in Chrome.
2. Tap the ⋮ menu, top right.
3. Tap Add to Home screen or Install app.

Worth doing. Logging a round from the home screen icon takes a couple of taps; doing it through a browser tab you have to find again usually means it doesn’t happen.

What to do next

Log a round. Everything in StatCaddy — your stats, your trends, the read on your game, what your coach sees — is built from rounds, and none of it says anything useful until there are a few in there.
