Fixing and editing rounds

Backfill what you forgot, correct what's wrong, and keep your numbers honest.

Nothing you enter is locked. Open any past round and change anything — your stats recompute immediately.

Editing a round

1. Go to Rounds.
2. Tap the round you want to change.
3. Tap Edit.
4. Change what you need and save.

Everything downstream updates: your averages, your trends, your handicap benchmark, and — if you have a coach — what they see.

Backfilling detail

You don’t have to enter a round completely in one go. Logging the score on the way home and adding your putts later that evening is a perfectly sensible way to work, and it’s better than not logging the round because you couldn’t face doing all of it.

A note on honesty

It’s your data, and nobody is marking it. But StatCaddy is only useful to the extent it reflects what actually happened — and if a coach is reading it, a flattering round sends them looking at the wrong part of your game.

The rounds worth logging most carefully are the bad ones. They’re where the information is.

Deleting a round

You can delete a round from its edit screen. This can’t be undone, and it will change your averages and trends. If a round was genuinely unrepresentative — nine holes in a gale, or a scramble where you played someone else’s ball half the time — consider tagging it as practice instead of deleting it, so it stays in your history without skewing your competitive numbers.
